Lee F. Hersch (1896 - 1953) was active/lived in California, Ohio / Spain. Lee Hersch is known for Landscape, Indian life, abstraction.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Lee Hersch was a painter in realist and abstract styles. In Taos, New Mexico in 1918, he painted scenes with Indians of the Taos Pueblo; in California in the 1930s, he depicted landscapes, and later, living in New York, did oil paintings in complete abstraction.
Lee Hersch studied painting with Henry Keller, Kenyon Cox and Douglas Volk at the Cleveland School of Art and the National Academy of Design. He was a member of the Painters and Sculptors of LA and the Woodstock Art Association. Exhibition venues included the Pennsylvania Academy, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Salons of America.
