Schoenholtz was born in Duisburg in 1937.  He studied German literature and art history at the University of Cologne and from 1957 at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, where he graduated in 1963 as a master student under Ludwig Gabriel Schreiber.  In 1971 he was appointed professor at the Academy and the succeeded the office of Schreiber in 1975.  In 1996 he became a full member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin, where he was appointed director of the Fine Arts Department from 1997 to 2003.   ...  [Displaying 520 of 1010 characters.]  Artist bio
