Note from Constance Ballew Johnson

I have in my possession a copy of a book written by my great-grandfather's brother, Emmit Ballew, entitled "The Neglected Message or Homeseekers Excursion O'er the Heroic Route", published in 1925 by the Journal Printing Company of Kirksville, MO, with "Illustrations by Monte Crews." There are 26 black & white illustrations in this very unusual book, including one of (presumably) Daniel Boone at Booneslick (near where the author lived in Missouri, attributed to Monte Crews.
