Shirley Lee Bolton (1945 - 1984) was active/lived in Georgia, Florida.  Shirley Bolton is known for Drawing, figure and abstract painting, illustration, graphics, teaching.

Born in Lexington, Georgia in 1945, painter and printmaker Shirley Bolton received her BFA in 1966 and her MFA in 1970 from the University of Georgia. Shirley Bolton's work was included in The First Annual Atlanta Life National Art Competition and Exhibition and several group exhibitions at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta in the 1970's and early 80's. Bolton is included in Samella Lewis and Ruth Waddy's 1971 survey Black Artists on Art, Volume 2. Her artworks were acquired by the collections of the Carnation Milk Company, Los Angeles, the Clark Atlanta University, and the University of Georgia, Athens. Lewis/Waddy pp. 44-45, 134. The artist passed away in 1984 in Pensacola, Florida.
