Terry Swanton Bateman (Born 1942) is active/lives in Montana.  Terry Bateman is known for Wildlife painting and sculpture.

Born 1942, Billings Montana, he began painting at age twelve.  Largely self taught, he studied the four R's: Russell, Remington, Rembrandt and Rungius.

A former government trapper and taxidermist, he began his full time art career at age 28.  Bateman is a past member of the Society of Animal Artists and a founding member of the Western Artists Association of Lubbock, Texas.

He began his career painting western scenes, but soon began specializing in wildlife painting and sculpture.

Bateman lives in Joliet, Montana.
