Zacharias Notermann (c. 1820 - 1890) was active/lived in Germany.  Zacharias Notermann is known for Painting.

Belgian painter and engraver born in Ghent and died in Paris, he owes his reputation to the painting of dogs and scenes of monkeys exercising human activities (antics).

First trained by his father, he perfected the Fine Arts in Antwerp before settling in Paris. It is there that he specializes in antics, humorous paintings notably depicting monkeys dressed in costumes and practicing human activities.

He also produced several paintings representing dogs and cats, as well as circus scenes.
