Benso's expressive research aimed at the illusory rendering of space and depth, which can be seen in his altarpieces and frescoes. He was entrusted with the continuity of the project for the presbytery of the Annunziata after the death of Ansaldo, requiring him to use the best materials and personal control of the entire construction site.
