Jorrit Tornquist (1938 - 2023) was active/lived in Austria.  Jorrit Tornquist is known for Painting.

Jorrit Tornquist was born in Graz in 1938.  He studied architecture at the University of Graz, where the focus of his work was already on colors and shapes.  In 1999 he was appointed Scientific Director of the Istituto del colore di Milano in Milan.

He has published several scientific articles on theories of composition.  His artworks can be found in international collections such as the Neue Galerie Graz, the Progressive Museum Basel, the Museo delle Arti Internazionale Applicate Oggi in Turin and in the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. (cru)
