A prominent Canadian Inuit* sculptor and printmaker, Pitseolak Niviaqsi (aka: Niviaksie) was born near Cape Dorset, Baffin Island, which is his current home (2015). He is a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. Hundreds of his works are in the collections of Canadian museums including the the National Gallery of Canada. (1)
