Don Chunestudey

Don Chunestudey (Born 1948) is active/lives in California, New Mexico.  Don Chunestudey is known for Painter and sculptor.

Native American (Cherokee) sculptor, Don Chunestudey, attended the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, the Institute of American Indian Arts (where he later taught) as well as Cooper Union in New York City.

Chunestudey studied under Allan Houser in the late sixties and later became an apprentice to him in Santa Fe. He taught sculpture at the Institute of American Indian Arts from 1983-1996.
