Tom (Thomas J) Dorr (Born 1950) is active/lives in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois.  Tom Dorr is known for Cowboy genre and landscape painting.

Tom Dorr's desire to be an artist started in grade school.  With a scholarship to Colorado State University, Tom was able to fine-tune his skills as an artist.  This confirmed his desire to pursue a career as a professional artist.

Ranchers have always enchanted Dorr.  He paints every aspect of this lifestyle from vehicles, buildings, to cowboys.  Dorr is also an accomplished photographer and uses his photos as a study before beginning a painting.  He describes his work as an accurate depiction of western subject matter.

Door feels his work is a pictorial history of the wrangler.  His style is an realistic and impressionistic representation of the West.

Tom's work can be seen at galleries in Arizona and Wyoming and at numerous shows across the west.
