Antoni Falat was born in 1942. 

Antoni Falat was deeply indebted to the events of the 1960s as their formative influences. The astronomical impact of the 1960s was truly astonishing across the globes.

Some of Falat paintings revealed Falat's journalistic temperament, expressed in the grotesque-satirical poetics of the images, similar to that which can be seen in Goya's paintings. The artist formulated his own painting credo around 1972. He claimed that a painting is a kind of division of the plane, resulting in the separation of forms that exist in three-dimensional reality, and their conscious mutual combination causes a specific state of emotions in the recipient. 

Antoni was especially fond of one "form" - namely, the human figure. As in the presented painting, usually painted with a flat spot, posed frontally, representative with a dispassionate facial expression.
