Armando Spadini was born in Florence in 1883. He is known as an artist with a happy temperament and was strongly linked to family intimacy. In 1908 Armando Spadini married Pasqualina Cervone, a pupil of Giovanni Fattori at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and his favorite model. Together, they had children Anna, Andrea, Maria, born between 1910 and 1914 at a distance of two years from each other, and Lillo, who arrived in 1920. An example of Spadini's work is The girl with the Dog, a painting of 1913, in which the painter dedicates a moment of intimacy to the little Anna portrayed while, sitting on the ground in an open space, she observes a fox. Behind the little girl, some plants with luxuriant leaves, full of intense green, are the background to an unidentifiable environment, but that is not the important element for the painter.
