Atanasio Soldati (1896 - 1953) was active/lived in Italy.  Atanasio Soldati is known for Abstract painting.

Atanasio Soldati was born in Parma in 1896. He studied at the Academy of Parma and graduated in 1921 in architectural design and in 1922 in the figure. In 1925 he moved to Milan, beginning with figurative art. He began attending the artistic world and particularly the Galleria Il Milione. In the early thirties Soldati approached abstraction, freeing the image from their figurative. The colors, surfaces, lines and shapes express the idea and feeling without any kind of superstructure. It 'a painting, that of soldiers, whom he recognizes as inherent foundation of his human essence and dramatic. Even more truth was inserted into the reality of the forties when he crossed from fascism and war that led to a recovery of the human content that goes beyond ' artistic act tending to a group hug among men'. In 1948 Soldati founded the Concrete Art Movement with Munari, Dorfles and Monnet, who joined a number of other artists.
