Belgium artist Berthe Dubail was born in 1911. Berthe Dubail was a pupil of Buisseret at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mons. The artist first experienced a figurative expressionist period, which drew on the will of synthesis and construction. Dubail met poet Pierre Bourgeois in 1960. He had a long friendship with Bourgeois, who was a leader of abstraction and artistic acceleration towards informal. Dubail is known for thwarted movements which are orchestrated with lyricism in a cosmic vision. "I try to give a physical presence in my impulses, to my distress, my tenderness; sometimes the anguish of the cosmos resolves into a controlled dynamism, sometimes instead the thrill subsides in a strange equilibrium." Dubail. Berthe Dubail is one of the best Belgian representatives of abstract art. Berthe Dubail passed away in 1984.
