Edouard Vallet (1876 - 1929) was active/lived in Switzerland.  Edouard Vallet is known for Landscape painting.

Édouard Vallet, son of French parents from the Dauphiné, first worked for a Geneva printer and attended the École des arts industriels. He learned woodcutting from Alfred Martin and painting from Pierre Pignolat and Barthélemy Menn. In 1910, the artist moved to Savièse, where he increasingly captured the rural population of the Valais on canvas. Soon after, he painted landscapes and views of Sion, where he spent the winter months. Édouard Vallet gained widespread recognition with his earthy, often striking pictorial creations. In 1911 and 1912 Édouard Vallet moved into a rented apartment in the village of Riod near Hérémence, where the offered work was created. Depicted are a man and a woman driving their flock of sheep from the pasture back to the farm. For this motif, Vallet chose a gouache palette of luminous tones that was very rare for him and with which he may have experimented around 1911.   ...  [Displaying 912 of 1411 characters.]  Artist bio
