Edoardo Tofano, from a young age, showed a great vocation for art, and his father, eager to instruct him in painting, entrusted him to the teachings of Domenico Morelli. However, Tofano's remarkable skills emerge very quickly, so much so that the renowned Parisian art dealer Goupil is so impressed and admired that he invites him to travel to the French capital. In Paris he quickly achieved important successes, culminating in the real triumph represented by the painting Suns. Once the Parisian period is over, he will go to London and then finally return to Italy. The large canvas illustrated in the catalogue, coming from a noble Italian family, depicts an elegant lady wearing a vaporous white dress, embellished with elaborate lace, and a silk stole decorated with Japanese-style ramage, on the arm a precious bracelet captures the viewer's attention. In the background there is a beautiful park with c   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1227 characters.]  Artist bio
