Glenys Gibson Napaltjarri a Luritja woman was born in 1968 or 1970 in the community of Papunya, in Central Australia.  Glenys has been residing between Papunya and Kintore (Walungurru) communities; she is married and lives with her husband and extended family.

Glenys is the daughter of Australian artist Ningura Naparulla; she developed her artistic style through watching and learning her ancestral stories from her mother, aunts, and grandmothers.  Her stories are associated with Tjukurrpa - Ancestral Times and Woman's Tingari - Creation stories.
