Llewellyn Petley Jones (1908 - 1986) was active/lived in British Columbia, Alberta / Canada, England.  Llewellyn Jones is known for Landscape, street scene, portrait, marine and abstract painting.

Llewellyn Petley-Jones was a painter born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  He subsequently lived in London, England (1934), Paris (late 1930's), Vancouver, Canada (1951-1954), and Richmond, England (from 1955) where he died.
 
His mediums were oil, watercolour and woodblock print.  His subjects are landscapes, street scenes, portraits, harbours, coastal views, still life and abstract. The locations for his representational paintings are Alberta, British Columbia, Britain, France and Italy.  His styles were realism, impressionism and abstraction.  He is self taught and became a full time painter about 1930.
 
He was a member of the Edmonton Art Club (1927) and was one of the charter members of the Alberta Society of Artists (1931).  He also served with the Royal Navy in World War II.
