Marian Michalik

Marian Michalik (1947 - 1997) was active/lived in Poland.  Marian Michalik is known for Still life in landscape painting.

Graduated from the Fine Arts High School in Czestochowa. After graduating in 1966, he worked in applied graphics. A few years later, he turned to painting, in which he improved himself independently. In 1979, he was admitted to the Association of Polish Artists. Since then, he has exhibited extensively in Poland and abroad, receiving many awards at national and international competitions, including a gold medal at the "Bielska Jesien" in 1980, a distinction at the XV Grand Prix d'Art Contemporain, Monte Carlo 1981, an award at the International Painting Biennale, Koszyce 1985. In 1987, he became a member of the European Academy of Art, Science and Literature in Paris. He created in the convention of magical realism, precisely reproducing banal everyday objects, various tools, fruits of nature, etc., and then creating their extraordinary combinations.
