Paul Dubois (1829 - 1905) was active/lived in France.  Paul Dubois is known for Sculpture, painting.

Paul Dubois was born in 1829 in the north of France.  He studied law, then attended the school of fine arts and worked at the studio of Armand Toussaint.  After his studies he traveled to Rome where he was inspired by the imposing sculptures of the Renaissance masters.

His sculptures were very popular throughout Europe and were reproduced in large quantities.  To honour his creative talent Dubois was awarded several distinctions.  He died in Paris in 1905.  Bronze sculptures by Paul Dubois fetch up to 28,000 euros at international auction.   ...  [Displaying 631 of 909 characters.]  Artist bio
