Yide Ni

Yide Ni (1901 - 1970) was active/lived in China.  Yide Ni is known for Painting.

Ni Yide was born in Hang Zhou in 1901, whose pen name is Nita. In 1922 he graduated from West Paintings Department of Shanghai Art School and stayed to teach as an assistant teacher. He joined invention society in 1923, and issued novel, new poem, essay and play on many publications such as Literature Paper and Creation Monthly. He went to Japan and studied painting. When Japanese army encroach Shandong province of China and made "Jinan Tragedy" in 1928, Ni Yide returned our motherland indignantly and taught as a professor at Guangzhou, Wuchang and Shanghai Art School successively. After antiwar for Japan, together with Guo Moruo to Wuhan, he took as a professor at United University of Southwest of China, Ying Shi University and National Art School. After succeeding in antiwar, he returned Hangzhou and established Xi Lake Art Graduate Schoo. In 1938 he join CCP.
