Stanislaw Tondos (1854 - 1917) was active/lived in Poland.  Stanislaw Tondos is known for Painting.

Stanislaw Tondos lived from 1854 to 1917.  Painter native of Krakow.  Here in the years 1869-1975 he studied at the School of Fine Arts under the direction of Wladyslaw Luszczkiewicz and Jan Matejko.  He continued his studies in Vienna and for a short time in the Munich Academy of Otto Seitz.Early in his work he took up painting wedutowym.

He made trips to Venice, Prague, Vienna, Rapperswill, Nuremberg, Magdeburg painting views of the architecture of these cities.  His favorite, the most common and a mastery of technique was watercolor, but also painted in oils and pastels.  The largest group of his works represent the views of Krakow.  He also painted views of other Polish cities - Lviv, Poznan, Warsaw.

In 1886, together with Julius Kossak painted a series of 24 watercolors, which are then published in TECE image as "Klejnoty m. Krakow".   In later years, they were established series of watercolors "St. Mary's Church in Cracow" (   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1359 characters.]  Artist bio
