Otto Gleichmann was born in 1887. O. Gleichmann studied at the academy in Dusseldorf, Wroclaw and Weimar. He taught in Erfurt and Hanover. He was acquaintances with Klee and Kandinsky. Many of his works are in German museums, including the Sprengel Museum Hannover. Otto Gleichmann passed away in 1963.
