Peter Brooke

Peter Brooke (Born 1965) is active/lives in California / England.  Peter Brooke is known for Sculptor-animal and human figure.

Born in Scarborough, Yorkshire in northeastern England, Peter Brooke was early inspired as a wildlife sculptor by English artist, Ralph Thompson. Later in his career, he began sculpting the human figure, and in 2004 won the Gold Medal for Sculpture for a figural piece, "Michael-Standing" at the California Art Club's 94th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition.

Brooke took a one year post-highschool course on illustration and then earned a bachelor's degree in television and film production design at Manchester Polytechnic in England. He spent his summer vacations sculpting creatures for animation studios and then worked for the Creatuaree Shop, established by Muppets crator Jim Henson in London. From a co-worker, Ron Mueck, he also learned techniques of fine art.

Employed as an animator in Los Angeles, he created dinosaurs and the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." He also did bird sculpture.
