Lives, works in Hangzhou and teaches in the department of experimental art of China Academy of Art. Before 2009, Hangzhou based artists and brothers Chen Yujun and Chen Yufan made art individually: Chen Yujun has always focused on territorial and spatial subjects while Chen Yufan was more interested in the concept of time; it is only in recent years that they began collaborating with each other. They express their personal lives, history, cultural and visual research and discovery through the practice of art; their works are often highly specific to the space they occupy, and lead audiences to experience these works by enveloping them whole.
