Arthur Prince Spear (1879 - 1959) was active/lived in Massachusetts, California.  Arthur Spear is known for Figure-idyllic, genre, landscape.

Born in Washington, DC on Sept. 23, 1879. Spear studied at George Washington University, ASL of NYC, and Académie Julian in Paris. While in California in 1927, he painted on the Mendocino coast and was active in southern California. Member: ANA. He died in Waban, MA in 1959. Exh: PPIE, 1915 (silver medal); NAD, 1921 (prize); Nicholson Gallery (Pasadena), 1927; Pasadena Society of Artists, 1931.
