Edouard Hostein (1804 - 1889) was active/lived in France.  Edouard Hostein is known for Landscape paintings.

Edouard Hostein was a French painter who was born in the 19th century. Before becoming a painter, he worked as an illustrator and collaborated with Charles Nodier and Baron Taylor for their series of romantic works on ancient France. He exhibited numerous landscapes of France, Belgium, Italy, and Switzerland at the Paris Salon between 1833 and 1859. His paintings were perfectly executed and depicted various regions of France such as Alsace, Normandy, Lyonnais, Auvergne, Brittany, and Toulon. He is considered one of the best witnesses of the romantic France.
