Rosendo Soto was born in 1912 in Mexico. He began his studies in painting at the Academia de San Carlos and later collaborated with the painter José Chávez Morado in the plastic integration workshop. He was part of a generation of artists and teachers who set out to prolong the teachings of the movement that claimed the work of outstanding painters the cultural heritage of the country.
