Dino was born in Italy and traveled extensively in the South Africa region, studying wildlife and habitat. In the 1970's he visited the U.S. and moved to Tucson with his wife Kiki, in 1992.

An artist dedicated the direct study of nature, Dino Paravano is known for his meticulous images of animals in their natural habits. Using both oil and pastel, he creates works that reflect his close study of the colors, shapes, and textures of his subjects. His pastels are especially acclaimed for their soft, delicate surfaces, warm tonalities, and dynamic arrangements.

His work is featured in museum, corporate and private collections in South Africa, UK, USA, Australia, Europe and Asia. Evident in all his paintings is his unique technique of using light.
