Gabriel Macotela (Born 1954) is active/lives in Mexico.  Gabriel Macotela is known for Sculpture, engraving, painting and drafting.

Gabriel Macotela is a famous Mexican sculptor, engraver, painter and draftsman.  The artist graduated from La Esmeralda.

He has made murals such as that found in the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM, as well as scenographies for plays in the Leon Trotsky Museum.

In 1977, he founded Cocina Ediciones and in 1985 the alternative library El Archivero.

Since 1976, he has held several solo and group exhibitions both in Mexico and abroad. Throughout his career, he has developed a critical discourse concerning social phenomena, as well as architectural and urban themes.
