Gerardo Cantu (Born 1934) is active/lives in Mexico.  Gerardo Cantu is known for Figure, landscape painting.

Gerardo Cantú is recognized for having been one of the most outstanding artists from the north of the country. He received artistic training from him in the Plastic Arts workshop of the University of Nuevo León, as well as in La Esmeralda. His career included graphic work, painting in small formats as well as muralism, a discipline in which he ventured inspired by the Masters of the Mexican School of Painting, mainly Diego Rivera. In addition to his plastic work, he developed as a cultural manager in the Plastic Arts department of the Institute of Culture in Nuevo León, and he was a teacher at his alma mater, La Esmeralda.
