Jorge Gonzalez Velazquez was born in 1966 in Mexico. Jorge Gonzalez Velazquez is an outstanding Mexican painter and sculptor who graduated from La Esmeralda. Throughout his career he has worked in the casting of multiple pieces with Juan Soriano, Gunther Gerzso and José Luis Cuevas.

He has participated in a host of collective and individual exhibitions in museums and galleries in different countries of America and Europe. He is a tireless experimenter of techniques and materials, however painting is a discipline that has played a vast and in some way a branch of his three-dimensional work. He enjoys his own ideas, and almost always uses monochromatic ranges and elements in different modes of abstraction. It is like he is downloading in full the complexity of shapes and figures that would be difficult to take to all three planes.
