Jorge Martins was a Portuguese artist. He studied Architecture and Painting at the Escola de Belas-Artes and later emigrated to Paris in 1961. He settled in Paris and New York before returning to Portugal in 1991. Martins had a long career with numerous individual and collective exhibitions both in Portugal and abroad. His artwork can be found in various museums and collections such as CAM, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon; National Museum of Modern Art
