Manuel Picolo López was a Spanish painter from Murcia who trained at the San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid and often traveled to Paris to learn about new European artistic trends. 

He won the bronze medal at the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts in 1892 and received numerous commissions from the Diputación de Murcia to decorate institutional buildings. Picolo's works include landsca

He was known for his use of vibrant and luminous colors and his ability to combine a loose brushstroke with meticulous detail. He also worked as an illustrator for publications such as La ilustración Española y Americana, Blanco y Negro, and Nuevo Mundo
