Zefan Li

Zefan Li (1907 - 1989) was active/lived in China, Taiwan, Province of China.  Zefan Li is known for Painting.

Li was born in Hsinchu in 1907.  While studying in Taipei Normal University, his interest for painting was inspired by Mr. Kinichiro ISHIKAWA.  After graduating, he gave lectures in succession at Hsinchu First Public School; Hsinchu Teacher's School; Normal University; Taiwan Province Teacher's Workshops and National Art School.

Lee is a leading watercolor artist in the Taiwanese art field; he originally established his unique painting skill: "water wash" and "color layer overlapping." 

His painting style is modest; preferred subject is mostly country side landscape in Taiwan.  Lee had won several art awards in early Taiwanese art exhibitions and also served as a review committee member.  In 1974, he won the Jin Jue Award and was selected as the top 10 senior artist by Council for Cultural Affairs in 1983.   ...  [Displaying 880 of 1516 characters.]  Artist bio
