Eduardo Luiz (1932 - 1988) was active/lived in Portugal, France.  Eduardo Luiz is known for Painting.

Eduardo Luís is the son of a sculptor and was born in Braga in 1932. At the age of eleven he entered the School of Decorative Arts in Porto, Portugal completing his studies at the School of Fine Arts with a painting course. In 1957, his name was mentioned for the first time during the presentation of the painting Seller of Oranges at the 1st Plastic Arts Exhibition, held by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The following year he left for Paris with a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the city where he would reside until the date of his death. At just 21 years old, he was awarded the Young Painting Prize (created by the March Gallery, which played a pilot role in the two years of its existence).

An award not alien to the rigor and richness of execution that is always evident in his vast work.
