Xiwen Min

Xiwen Min (1918 - 2013) was active/lived in China.  Xiwen Min is known for Painting.

Min was born in Jiangsu.  He entered Hangzhou National College of Arts in 1935.  He studied under Wu Da-yu, Fang Gan-ming, and Cai Wei-lian. Min graduated in 1941 and stayed in school to teach art.  In 1948, he assisted Fang Gan-Min to establish Chinese Art Research Society.  In 1953, he taught in the Department of Stage Art, Shanghai Theater Academy.
His works are deeply influenced by impressionism.  Upon showing changes of light and colors, Min has his unique stylish presentation.  His outstanding works have been exhibited around Taiwan and China, and published his works in 2004.   ...  [Displaying 638 of 1114 characters.]  Artist bio
